BSU’s 2015 Greek Life Horoscope

As the first month of the year flies by, aren’t you curious as to how the rest of it will go? Well, you have come to the right place! With your individual chapter’s founding dates, we placed each sorority in their astrological signs. This is the BSU’s 2015 Greek life horoscope.

Aries

Kappa Delta (April 4) and Phi Mu (April 5)

This year can be yours if you take it, KDs and Phi Mus! According to astrology.com, “You've learned the hard way what it means to be too trusting in that naive Aries way. This doesn't mean you have to lose your innocence. On the contrary, you'll be reconnecting with your childlike spirit more than ever before.” Make sure you get yourself ready for March as the stars will be in your favor. Use this time to reach for your goals and grab them, as well.

Taurus

Chi Omega (May 10)

Finding peace with the past is your goal this year, ChiOs. You have been there and done that, and you are learning to love the moments you’re in. Predictions by astrology.com show that a romantic cycle may kick off for you, this August. And even though it is the beginning of a new year, don’t be afraid to continue working on what you have already! Carpe Diem!

Gemini

Alpha Omicron Pi (May 24) and Alpha Chi Omega (June 10)

All of your hard work will pay off this year! Life may calm down for you the first half, so go ahead and enjoy it. And the possibility of romance is on its way as “Relationships of the romantic variety will take priority in 2015 as well. You're learning and re-learning the art of partnering. This requires quality-time and attention, good boundaries, reciprocity and the ever-elusive balance of self and other.” So rest yourself up before late June and September come around, as things seem to creep from behind.

Virgo

Pi Beta Phi (August 23)

Patience is key, Pi Phis, because the second half of the year is all yours! In August the stars are working for you rather than against. Although you are more of a planner than a risk taker, you are going to find yourself breaking free more than you normally may! astrology.com says, “This year continues to be a karmic balancing act, wherein every decision is carefully weighed and measured. You understand the importance of considering all potential consequences before acting, but this year it's almost instinctual for you to stop, drop and rethink before any rolling happens.”

Scorpio

Alpha Gamma Delta (November 5) and Alpha Phi (November 7)

Since the end of 2012, Scorpios have been having a rough time, sending them through hell and back. But guess what! You have made it though the tunnel. You are a brand new and better you, AGDs and A-Phis. The year is about reinvention and “who you are and how you want the world to see you as Saturn rocks your Second House of values emphasizing your voice, and your self-esteem.”

Pisces

Delta Zeta (February 28) and Sigma Kappa (March 20)

Starting in August, love is in the air for you, DZs and Sigma Ks! And it may be with someone you may consider a polar opposite! As astrology.com says, “You're an irresistible sexy siren with the added bonus of Jupiter in your opposite sign starting this August.” Opposites sure do attract.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Bucket List To Live In The Now

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
