Brunch is the best meal of the day, but where are the best brunches? It really depends on what you are looking for in a brunch. Bottomless mimosas? The best bloody mary around? Local food and sustainable agriculture? The number one thing all brunches need to have in common is a good hangover cure. What does that mean for you? I know I like a healthy serving of kale and eggs, but maybe you are a greasy purist? Each of these spots can cater to either, but they certainly each have their focuses! All of these spots are locally owned and operated, and every spot is one worth checking out in Boise! Have a spot we didn't mention? Tag it in the comments below!
1. Bardenay
Bardenay helps bring Basque culture into Boise, but they also bring the best brunch around! Grab a bottle of champagne and get the fresh squeezed orange juice on the side for a brunch to remember. Check it out here.
2. Fork
Fork is unforgettable for so many reasons, but one of the best is their bloody mary!
3. Goldy's Breakfast Bistro
Goldy's is a Boise classic. Expect to wait an hour or two to get in, but know it will be worth it. Their customer service is definitely something to get out of bed for!
4. A' Tavola
Need something classy while you roll in with sweats on? A' Tavola is the perfect combination of incredible food and relaxed atmosphere.
5. Red Feather
Red Feather prides itself on sustainable agriculture and ethically raised meats. For the environmentally conscious brunch enthusiast, this is not one to be missed.
6. Java
Need a place you can stroll into, not wait too long, and still get a hangover cure? Java is your place! Although alcohol isn't served here, the coffee most certainly makes up for it. Try the "bowl of soul", you can thank me later.
7. Capri
Need a place you can shimmy up to the bar with Uncle Dan and Aunt Marie without feeling like you need to wear the latest apparel to fit in? Check out Capri for a sensible diner with an elegant air.
8. The Griddle
Griddle is a great price point for some notable food. There are two locations, one in Boise and one in Meridian, so this is a great option for those not living in Bodo's!
9. Even Stevens
Even Steven's has a great selection of vegetarian, vegan, and meat lover sandwiches, salads, soups, and burritos! Boise State students get free coffee and the breakfast burritos are to die for. What's not to love?
10. St. Lawrence Gridiron
Last on our list, but still not one to be missed, is St. Lawrence Gridiron. Are you looking for something American? Upscale? Something which can pull you out of a hangover and leave you wanting to go again the next day? St. Lawrence Gridiron knows how to cook, and meats are definitely their specialty.
Which do you think is the best? Are there any new brunch places coming to Boise? We want to know!
