For those of you who haven’t watched One Tree Hill, you have no idea what you are missing. Brooke Davis, one of the main characters, starts out as what most would consider the typical popular girl in high school. However, throughout nine seasons we see Brooke become an influential mother, friend, wife, and businesswoman. She teaches many lessons about love and confidence. Here are five quotes that represent great lessons taught by Brooke Davis, a great role model.

1. She taught us that labels are just words that we need to learn how to overcome.

2. B. Davis reminds us that it is okay to be vulnerable and assertive when it comes to relationships.

3. We are fighters, and Brooke Davis does a great job reminding us of that throughout all nine seasons.

4. We were able to watch her grow up and along the way she taught us how grow up as well.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
