"One Tree Hill" would not have been the same without the strong and beautiful, Brooke Penelope Davis. In my opinion, her character still stands as one of the most influential women on a drama series. She has so much heart and soul and says the most relatable things. We had the opportunity to watch her grow from being the wild teenage heartthrob, to the strong, beautiful woman running Baker Man. Every season was such a beautiful story just because her character existed. Here's some Brooke Davis quotes that just reiterates how much you love her.

1. "I am who I am. No excuses." Brooke Davis never failed to be herself and own it. Whether she was being her wild at heart, teenage self, or protective mom Brooke, she always stayed true to who she was.

2. "If you're: fat, dumb, sexual and a guy, you're okay. If you're a girl? Not so much." Brooke always recognized the double standards that existed in Tree Hill, and around the world. Fortunately, she never let those stereotypes get the best of her.

3. "I wanted you to fight for me!" Brooke never failed to remind us all of what we deserve. She always wanted someone who loved her unconditionally without question and showed us we wanted the same thing, too.

4. "Good guys lie to get in your heart." Brooke kept it real when she was hurting from someone's actions. She never sugar coated how someone's wrongdoings affected her.

5. "And I guess because of that I stopped missing you." Brooke urged us all to move on from a person when you weren't getting the treatment you deserved. She knew what she want and never settled for less.

6. "I think about the future sometimes and it scares me." Brooke never failed to be relatable. I'm sure we all have feared for the future and it is scary, but she showed us that it's okay to be scared. She never felt scared to be vulnerable.

7. "You don't get to have me." Brooke struggled to know her worth in the early seasons of the show, but once she found it, she was unstoppable.

8. "For the sake of my friends and family." Brooke reiterated family and friendship values constantly. She always stuck up for the people she loved in any situation and if they ever needed anything, she was there for them.

9. "But I guess it's easier to see what we want." Even though Brooke was a pro at sticking up for herself and knowing her worth, she also could admit that sometimes she forgot it. She wanted so badly to see the good in people, but sometimes you have to let go.

10. "You're a warrior." Brooke always knew that everyone around her had so much strength and just needed to be reminded. She was the type of friend you strived to be.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
