Disclaimer: If you're a lady reading this article, be warned that none of this will make sense to you, and you'll most likely think all guys are weirder than what you previously thought. That's quite all right, hence why this article is for bros and not ... girls.
Bromance? That's a thing?
If you go to dictionary.com and type in the word "bromance," the definition reads, "Arelationshiporfriendshipbetweentwomenthatisextremelyclose butdoesnotinvolvesex."
If you enter "bromance" into urbandictionary.com, the definition reads, "Describes the complicated love and affection shared by two straight males."
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, it's a real thing!
The origins of a bromance
Bromances have been occurring since the dawn of mankind. The early roots of bromance history trace back to the cavemen, who became bros after creating the first fire and killing their first animal. The bromance continued to evolve over the years as men bonded over different activities, ranging from making war with other countries to scaling the highest mountains.
Bromance in today's society
Today the bromance has evolved into something unique. A bromance can now exist between two or more bros, otherwise known as a squad. In the event a squad rolls up, one should prepare for excitement, laughter, a good time and countless shenanigans. Because that's what bros do when they're together -- they have ridiculous amounts of fun.
What makes a bromance unique is it naturally occurs; there is not a "DTR" (define the relationship) talk. Two bros meet, they start hanging out, and more often than not, they end up becoming best friends.
What is crucial to understand about a bromance is that it is not gay.More often than not, bros who have a strong bromance could be mistaken for being gay; this is not the case. They are straight and are completely attracted to women.
The bromance has held male relationships together for thousands of years and will continue to do so until Jesus comes. Females will never be able to understand the nature of the bromance, just as males will never be able to understand the nature of women. That's OK.
So to all my fellow bros out there, I love you, bro.
