A Broken Christianity.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
- Psalm 133:1
Hear me please church.
We are not a people united.
We have become so broken and that is breaking me.
I once read a book by Perry Stone and he talked about how Satan and his demons are more organized than we are as Christians and that wrecked me.
Satan and his demons have three goals: steal, kill, and destroy.
It should also be that simple for us, we were told to love our neighbor and go make disciples.
Why are we not focused?
Why are we not as organized as the Devil?
Why do we not love our neighbor?
We as a church have fallen apart.
We are broken into denominations and arguing over whether we should be drinking grape juice or wine at communion when that is far from the point.
Please church can we love each other? How are we going to be able to love the lost if we can’t even love ourselves as one people.
We serve the same good Father, can we just rejoice in that together?
Is our God not bigger than our differences?
Just for a moment can we stop being a religion and be a faith? Just for a moment can we make Him greater as we become less? Just for one single moment can we swallow our pride and love our brothers and sisters?
Church, hear this. As Jesus was dying, after He was nailed to a tree, He looked at us then to His Father and said, “Forgive them, they know not what they do.” If Jesus can love the ones who ripped flesh from His back and hammered nails into His hands, why can’t we love the ones who disagree with us but love the same God? Do you see how small it is to hate your fellow Christian?
Please, church feel convicted because my heart is in pieces over this.
My dear brother,
My dear sister,
I do not care who you voted for,
I do not care what denomination you are,
I love you more than I could ever put into words.
Will you give love in return? Will you love me despite what we may agree or disagree on? Will you take my hand and bow with me? Please, will you just love Jesus with me?
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
- 1 Corinthians 13:13
