So, lately, I have been hearing a lot of "I'm stressed" or "I'm tired." Trust me I understand. Between, classes, work, organizations, and those of you who have children I am sure that we all have our fair share of chaos and stress. So when people tell me that they are stressed my answer is to go relax!

But it seems that a lot of people simply just do not know how to do that! Many are worried about money and time. I have created a list of 11 things to help you relax. I am here to tell you what to buy and how to use it. And don't worry, everything is under $15 and you do not need a lot of time to this! Just sit back and relax.

1. Bubble bath

The first step to relaxation is going to a quiet and calm place. What's more relaxing than a warm bubble bath. You can even buy a pack of bath bombs for $1 at the Dollar Tree!

2. Exfoliating glove

Use this glove to help refresh your skin. You'll feel like a brand new person! But don't over exfoliate.

3. Body wash

Use body wash on your glove in order to get the best results. A good way to maintain moisture is to always lather up with bar soap and use body wash as well. Your skin will be super soft!

4. Deep conditioner

After you are done with your bath the next thing is a great deep conditioner. When you have clean and soft hair you feel like a great person. The Dollar Tree has two deep conditioners that I swear by! They are called " Simply Shea" and "Daily Defense" They have great slip for all my natural sistas! Go give them a try.

5. Plastic cap

The plastic cap is, of course, to cover your hair while you're conditioning. If you're anything like me you will just use a plastic grocery bag but these a great as well!

6. Coconut oil

Coconut Oil is the best thing ever! You can use it to cook, in your hair, and on your body. If you use it on your hair remember that it is not a sealant oil it is a moisturizing oil. But in the case of relaxing use this oil your body to keep your skin nice and soft after exfoliating.

7. Candle

A good smelling room can help you relax as well. At the Dollar Tree, they have many different scents all for a dollar of course! They even have candles with different layers with different scents!

8. Headband/shower cap

We are coming up on our face! So in order to keep your freshly conditioned hair out of your face pick up a fleece headband or a shower cap. The headband can also be used while doing makeup.

9. Face mask

Next is our face! Dollar Tree has many different face masks for many different things. Decide which kind you want or grab a few! And when you're done slap some coconut oil on your face to retain the moisture.

10. Gel eye mask

This mask is perfect to sleep in or even if you just want to get rid of some bags under your eyes. Pop it into the freezer for 10 minutes and then keep it on until it's no longer cold anymore. Your face is going to instantly be relaxed!

11. Snacks

Lastly are the snacks! The Dollar Tree has every candy, chip, and drink that you could ever want! So treat yourself and get those Mamba's you've been dying for! Or even some ice cream. Turn on your favorite movie or that show that's been sitting on you DVR for the last three weeks.

These 11 things in this order are how I relax once I start running out of steam! Write down list and stop by your nearest dollar tree after you leave work tomorrow! You won't regret it! Everything on this list can be found at the Dollar Tree. Stay strong and remember not to over work yourself. You need to relax every now and then. So I dare you to go out and try this! Let me know what you think!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
