Have no money to go anywhere over spring break? That's O.K. I feel that. So I am creating a list of things for people to do if you're like me. You have no money and really no friends since all of them are going to different places for spring break. You need something to do to keep yourself entertained. I have a list that will make not being in Florida a little more bearable.

1. A picnic on campus

Pack some sandwiches, some fruit, grab a bag of chips and some muffins and find a beautiful spot on your campus. I bet there are some unknown places you can go for some peace and quiet and good vibes.

2. Go to the lake

If you're near a lake or ocean, go enjoy the beach. It might not be Florida warm weather but at least you get out into nature and just sit in peace at the sound of the lake or ocean waves.

3. Go hiking at a state park

Even if you don't have a state park near you, it could be a fun mini vacation to drive to a state park. It gets you active and outside. It only costs you a couple dollars but a ton of fun.

4. Go on a hometown tour

If you go away for school you might have forgotten parts of your hometown. Spring break is the perfect time to re-explore your hometown and hit the tourist attractions. It could be fun to see what you haven't seen in a long time.

5. Bake with your friends

Hopefully, some of your hometown high school friends are staying home too so you have someone to bake with! Baking is always the move.

6. Make a homemade pizza

I know so many of my friends have done this and it's a fun, cheap thing to keep you occupied. It also involves food so automatic WIN.

7. Camp out in your backyard

Weather permitting, you can go out into your backyard set up a tent and sleep under the stars. So many adventures could arise.

8, Actually do your pinned Pinterest

Admit it. You have a hundred Pinterest boards with a thousand DIY crafts. Well, now you have an entire week off, so do it now! You have probably pinned enough DIY crafts to last you the whole week.

9. Get a manicure and pedicure with your friends

It's okay to treat yourself.

10. Binge watch an entire series on Netflix

Suggestions include: One Tree Hill, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Stranger Things, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls and Shameless.

11. Snapchat your friends who are on vacation

If all your friends are in Mexico or Florida and you're stuck at home, blow up their Snapchats with pictures of your dog.

12. Color in your adult coloring book

You probably have had no time to actually use all your adult coloring books but now you have a lot of time.

13. Lay in bed and cuddle your dog all day

Honestly, this is the move.

So don't frown if you are not going anywhere for spring break, your girl has you covered.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
