12 bro code rules that all guys should follow religiously

It's the Code of the Genre of what we call "Bros, Homies, Dudes, Guys, or your closest Compadres."

One of the most priced and upheld books of law is "Bro Code" or, how it has been popularized by MTV, "Guy Code". Well, for those who aren't cultured and aware of this, it's basically the Bible on how a friend should treat another friend in the Bro-niverse. Here are the top rules to follow.

1. Always have your bros' back!

No matter what!

2. Bros before hoes.

This is by far the most world renowned code of law amongst any rule of law.

3. When a bro’s girlfriend or boo thang asks what he is doing or his whereabouts, you shall refer them to him because that's what they should be doing anyway!

You're not finding out anything from me. SKRT that away from me.

4. Your bro's family is yours, too! His parents, his siblings, and his grandma.

They are also your parents, siblings, and grandma. You will do whatever for them and love them the same.

5. Never allow a bro to excessively and stupidly sacrifice for a girl!

I've seen this happen too many times, and then they get destroyed and hurt. That's not the move.

6. Never interfere with your bros' chance with a female, a.k.a. cock-block. Unless they are breaking rule #8.

Also, unless you need to play defense and save the man, that is a valid reasoning to break this rule.

7. If someone needs a wingman, you are the wingman! No debate!

You have to help the homie prosper, otherwise he's holding you down, too.

8. NEVER HOOK UP WITH OR DATE A BRO’S EX OR SOMEONE THEY HAVE FEELS FOR (WITHOUT PERMISSION).

This will just end up in a fight. You don't want to fight your best friend and always have that be a thing that happened.

9. ALWAYS TELL YOUR BRO IF HIS GIRL CHEATS ON HIM.

I don't think this needs a reasoning.

10. A female may be included in the Code of Bro if she has proven herself worthy, she is a bro herself, and there is a general consensus amongst the bros.

FYI: this takes work, and it is an honor.

11. You must always inform your compadre about the blacked out endeavors they participated in last!

No matter how demeaning or appalling.

12. When a promise is made, it shall be kept.

There is no reason for this to be broken under no circumstances.

DISCLAIMER: This is not an exhaustive list of the Rule of Bro. There are many unspoken and written rules that did not make this divine piece of knowledge.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
