We all have a Snuggie buried in the abyss of a closet somewhere, begging for love and affection. What once seemed like the epitome of comfort and multitasking, is now a home for dust bunnies and a few lone candy wrappers, fragments of a fad gone bad. Fear not, though, because here are some ways to recycle your blanket with sleeves.
1. A cape.
This seems like common sense, but the idea is highly underrated. If you're really feeling adventurous, get a child size Snuggie and put your favorite furry friend's legs through the arm holes and you have yourself a sidekick.
2. Wrapping paper for presents.
Those big baggy sleeves were made to tie the perfect bow.
3. A bathrobe.
Also highly underrated. Very useful when it's laundry day. A good mix between towel drying and air drying.
4. A fire extinguisher.
Just in time for the holiday season. For all those newbies in the kitchen, you can not put out a grease fire with water, you must smother it with a Snuggie.
5. Make-shift curtains.
Put a curtain rod through the sleeves. You're welcome.
6. Toga for a toga party.
Add rope if necessary.
7. Christmas tree skirt.
Give your gifts the gift of comfort.
8. A picnic blanket.
The sleeves make a great built in koozie.
9. An infinity scarf.
Cut off the sleeves and voila! They're all the rage right now.
10. Or leg warmers.
They were all the rage in the 80's, might as well bring them back, too.
11. Slippery surface for stair sledding
Use the sleeves to steer down the stairs. Also, makes a great makeshift wagon on tile or wood floors.
12. Time out.
Nothing like sharing an arm hole with your least favorite sibling.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a Snuggie is priceless.
