This last semester I enrolled myself into three writing intensive classes. It wasn’t really smart at all, but I had my best intentions in the back of my head.
By the third week of school I’d already had at least 5 assignments that required at least 2 pages each. Since then, I’ve been in this writing hiatus where writing pains me, it brings me back to all of the papers and reports I’ve had to create from this last semester.
Then, when I carried back into this summer, I just needed sleep, like a lot of sleep, like hours and hours of sleep. School, work, and having a social life is time consuming and I tried to catch up on sleep for so long.
And here we still are, me still not really writing because my fingers have taken off for so long.
But I’m here to remind you that writing is therapeutic. Writing can do a lot for people and once many are out of school, that’s the last they write. I’m not talking about a to-do list, a check, or a note to your child’s teacher. I’m talking about writing your feelings, your thoughts, and even your fears. Writing creates a positive space for many people to expand their thoughts. Writing is a documentation area that records your moments, which is why so many people either blog or write in journals.
I challenge you to find something that use to bring you passion and delight and bring it back into action in your life!
