7 Ways To Start A Great Day

Waking up doesn't have to be so hard.

1. Say A Prayer Before You Even Get Up

For me, praying about my day before it even begins brings me a sense of peace, regardless of the challenges I could face. Although we aren't promised tomorrow, we were blessed with today and that's something to be grateful for.

2) Turn On Some Music

While getting up early can sometimes seem like the worst thing in the world, I've found that playing music instantly makes it hard for me to drift-off back to sleep.

3) Wash Your Face

Not only is this a must for your skin, but another opportunity to wake yourself up.

4) Drink A Bottle Of Water

I don't think you can ever drink too much water, so why not make it a goal to drink a bottle before you walk out of the door every morning? This is better for you and your skin.

5) Jot Down Your Daily Goals

Make a mental, or physical, note of everything you hope to accomplish that day. I always have a list of to-do's in my phone of what I'm doing and what I'll need for my day so that I can check things off as I go.

6) Eat A Good Breakfast

When you're running late and rushing out the door, it can be hard to make time for a decent breakfast. I, myself, normally grab the first thing I see in the pantry. However, when I do make sure that I have a good breakfast, my day is SO much better.

7) Make Your Bed!

While it is definitely not the first thing anyone wants to do as soon as they wake up, you'll be so glad you did when you return home and it's already done and tidy.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
