Brian Grilli's Deep Southern Symphony

An album for all summer long...

Brian Grilli has finally hit # 1 on billboards heatseekers chart with his Album "Deep South Symphony". If you aren't familiar with Brian Grilli, you might be familiar with the infamous tv show Sons of Anarchy. He has written quite a few songs for it. If you didn't know him before, now you do.
"Deep Southern Symphony" was recorded in Nashville Tennessee, at the legendary sound kitchen. It was produced by Andy Andersson with many different prominent musicians playing on the tracks. I was very iffy about listening to this track at first because I am not a country fan. This is the first country album I have bee able to enjoy wholesomely.
The second to last track I listened to that stood out the most to me was Like" A Glove. " I'm from New Jersey and am pretty close to the city, so I cannot relate to any type of country life. This song personally made me want to take the nearest flight to the heart of the south and drive around in a pickup truck, with the company of a true southern gentleman. s
My next top track is "obsession". If there is anyone who doubts country but is a rock and roll fan, this one is for you. The guitar sequence, in the beginning, is calming to the nerves and his voice is smooth. "Obsession" is about not being able to forget a person who has broken you. Its a never-ending cycle.
The final track on this album I would suggest is "Keep on Keepin' On". This song is an anthem for anyone who has dealt with heartbreak. You can hear the rawness and emotions behind the lyrics. I was able to picture in my head what he was going through emotionally while writing this.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by "Deep Southern Sympathy". This album is full of pure and raw emotion. It is not your typical country album and for that, I will be giving it an 8/10. You can check out this album on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
