Since the Fourth of July has me feeling particularly patriotic, I'm just sitting here in my American flag shirt, stroking a Bald Eagle, entertained while the Internet explodes with Brexit memes. In the spirit of the classic relationship between England and the US, consisting of constant mockery, I do have to admit that it is definitely our time to make fun, as they also make fun of themselves, at least until the 2016 Election and a possible Trump presidency. I do realize the seriousness of this decision in practice and its effect on immigrants and other groups, but the Internet's reaction has been absolutely absurd. There is much conflicting information about what Brexit means for the countries in the UK and for Europe, but slanted and simplistic memes have been circulating social media like the Bubonic plague. I find some of these to be quite comical, and I thought I'd compile a list.
