You enter the beautiful blue headquarters and can't help but be in awe. The many shades of light blue, dark blue, sky blue, navy blue, so much blue you feel at peace. It makes sense because blue is a calming color. While it's mostly blue you will find the accents of other colors such as green doors or brown doors. Back in the day these colored doors signified who was living the house, a Jewish person or a person apart of the Berber tribe. Green meant a Jewish person was living there and brown a member of the Berber tribe lives there. Fun fact: the shade indigo keep the insects away. As you wander around the many different streets you will see an abundance of wild cats. Some kittens, some full grown, some skin and bones, and some a little healthier than others. However all the kitties are very nice, you can pet them and pick them up if you want! (Well pick some up, others will run). They don't have any rats due to the amazing pest control. Where are we?
Welcome to Chefchaouen, the beautiful blue city in Morocco! The color of calm, the sky, reminding you of paradise.
The sound of Arabic or Spanish fills the street and you can't help but be in complete awe at the fact that everyone in Morocco speaks at least three languages. They learn Arabic and French when they start speaking and going to school. Then they get a third language choice of German, English, or Spanish. And schooling is free! I wish the United States of America was like that. You know how much smart we would be if we could just be able to speak 2 or 3 other languages! Also, how awesome it would be if we spoke multiple languages!!
Morocco is such a different culture than anywhere I have ever been. It's beautiful the different ideals other people have. This experience was one for the books and I can't believe I have this opportunity to go on all the adventures.
From Chefchaouen to Tetuan the history, culture, and traditions of this beautiful place is breathtaking. I didn't think I would be so in love with a place like I am in love with Morocco.
As cliché as it sounds you really learn so much about yourself when you get to see other places. I was able to go outside of my California and Hawaii bubbles to see a whole different country. It was amazing, shocking, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. I felt grounded and was feeling as if nothing could ruin my happiness. This trip was full of good friends, good times, beautiful sites, interesting facts, and of course awesome memories.
