How To Get Over A Breakup

Couples come and go, and although sometimes we feel as though the person we are with is the one, sometimes things happen and relationships end. As I get older I watch more and more of my friends go through breakups as well as breakups of my own. When you're going through a break up it can feel like the end of the world, but it's important to remember that there are things you can do to make yourself feel better, even if it's only for a little while.

While it may be hard to do anything else but wallow, just remember to surround yourself with your friends and the people who love you. Not only will they help you feel better, but getting out of your house and doing fun things will help distract you from thinking about the breakup.

Even though you may be sad, now is a time for you to focus on you and the things you like to do. Regardless of why you and your partner broke up, now is a time for you to focus on the things you like and the things that make you, you. It is easy to get caught up in another person, so take this time to do the things you like to do.

It is also a time for you to try new things, whether you were in a relationship for 2 months or 5 years, try new things and get out of your comfort zone. Hang out with your friends, go on a road trip, the world is your oyster.

The most important thing to remember when going through a breakup is that the pain is temporary. Eventually, you will feel okay again, but don't feel like you have to be okay all the time. Do whatever you need to do to feel better, let out the emotions so that you can start to move on.

Breakups suck, but there is no need to feel rushed to get over someone, take your time and surround yourself with people who support you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
