Probably the most common of all new years resolution is healthy living: "I want to lose weight," or, "I want to go down a jean size," and, "I want to get fit." Almost a month into the new year, the routine of 2017 is beginning to settle in. Some new year goals will remain, but most will inevitably die out by the end of the first month. Here are the eight stages of breaking a new years resolution you may or may not have experienced this year:
1. Being excited about making a resolution.
This is such an exciting time because you feel so motivated to become a better version of yourself.
2. Your friends knowing "new year, new me" won't last.
But you ignore them thinking this year it's going to be different.
3. Feeling your first urge to break the resolution.
But you don't because a little temptation never killed nobody.
4. Breaking the resolution "just one time."
Just once.
5. Being annoyed at friends when they call you out for breaking the resolution.
How do they have the right to judge your one time splurge?
6. Your friends trying to help you stay strong.
This is the sign of a true friend.
7. Losing all willpower.
8. Giving in to the inevitable downfall.
Don't worry, you'll try again in 2018.
