Your life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Life Isn't Sitting Still, So Why Should You?
One Salty Kiss

Each person has this little bubble in their mind, and this is what I like to call the comfort zone. This zone is where the person feels safe, secure, and well comfortable. It's like sitting on the edge of the pool while you watch everybody else swim around you. Learn to dive and take that swim because it will be amazing.

Staying inside your own little bubble is dangerous and it's suffocating. This doesn't allow for growth, change, or any challenge in life. Life is not sitting still, so why should you? There's a whole new world out there waiting that's full of amazing new experiences.

Taking the plunge into the unknown is scary, but it's also exhilarating. Challenge yourself every day by trying something different that you've always wanted to do. This doesn't have to be a huge event that you try each time, but if you start this way then the rest will come easily. Live in the moment and treat each day as a new adventure.

Amazing things happen when you push yourself out of the comfort zone. You will grow as a person. New experiences will shape you as a person. You gain new insight into yourself and can discover who you truly are as a person. You gain knowledge and life experiences. Maybe you screwed up, but you learned from it and have a story to tell.

You will have a new energy. A feeling of exhilaration will race through you like a breath of fresh air. Life becomes exciting and amazing. Each day is a joy, and you never know what is next to come.

It won't be easy, but it will be worth it! You owe it to yourself to be challenged and excited. Living life halfway is no way of living at all. So, take that dive out of the comfort zone, the water's fine.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
