Breakfast: the most important meal of the day. It provides a much needed boost in your metabolism at the beginning of your day. It is also necessary to helping maintain a healthy body weight. It is a great way to keep up your awareness during the work/school day. But making a full breakfast (i.e. pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs and toast) can be difficult, so you just stick with a sugary pastry or an unsatisfying microwave-heated breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately, these don't do too much for you and your health, so here are some easy, healthy, and quick breakfast ideas.
Delicious and nutritious! Avocados are very helpful for the human body such as lowering cholesterol, providing heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, and they contain more potassium than bananas. This is my personal favorites on this list. It only takes about fifteen minutes to make in total.
2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Chocolate for breakfast? Yes please! This is a great booster in the morning and it's to-go which makes it great for those of us that need to get going in the morning. The peanut butter is a great source of peanut butter to kick start your morning.
For those of us who need a little more meat in our breakfast, here are some freezer breakfast tacos. These are made ahead of time so that all you need to do is take them out of the freezer and pop them in the microwave.
4. Toast with Cream Cheese and Fruit
There isn't really much to this, but it does keep your stomach happy till lunch time. Just slice up some fruit and spread some cream cheese on toast. You can also add some nuts for more flavor.
Another night-before recipe! This, coupled with some coffee, is a quick and easy way to get your day started. Bananas are a great source of natural sugars and potassium. These are really easy to grab on your way out the door and to take out of your bag and snack throughout the morning.
This is one for those of us who just love their cereal fix in the mornings. You can purchase organic versions of cheerios as well if you wish to go that route. But other than the cheerios everything else in this recipe is very health-conscious.
Another great option for those on-the-go morning people. This one has the longest make time out of all the recipes listed here, but none the less it is worth it. You can also experiment with different fruits and nuts in it. Oatmeal boosts heart health and brings in fiber to your body in the morning.
