Even though there have been 21 seasons of everyone’s favorite reality TV show, ‘The Bachelor,’ most people haven’t seen every season. Starting back in 2002 this hit show has taken many twists and turns. When they show first started, the new bachelor each season was actually new. One season they actually filmed the entire thing in Rome and the bachelor was a prince. It’s almost impossible to find these classic seasons now, but I’m sure you’re curious about the men that gave this show its start.
Here is a breakdown of every season of ‘The Bachelor:’
1. Alex Michel
Alex was a management consultant from Charlottesville, Virgina. Amanda Marsh was the winner of the season, while Trista Rehn was the runner-up. There was no proposal during the finale, instead, Michel and Marsh decided to continue to date, but it only lasted a few months.
2. Aaron Buerge
Aaron was the vice president of a chain of family-owned banks from Butler, Missouri. Buerge purposed to Helene Eksterowicz at the end of season two. The couple separated after only a few weeks.
3. Andrew Firestone
Andrew was a sales manager of Firestone Family estates from Santa Barbara, California. His engagement to Jen Schefft only lasted several months, but it was a mutual breakup.
4. Bob Guiney
Bob was the creator of a mortgage company from Riverview, Michigan. There was no proposal at the end of this season, but Estella Gardinier and Bob decided to continue to date. The couple ended shortly after season aired
5. Jesse Palmer
Jesse was a Canadian-American college football player from Toronto, Ontario. Again, there was no proposal to end this season. Instead, Jesse and Jessica Bowlin continued to see each other for a few weeks until their ultimate breakup.
6. Byron Velvick
Byron was a pro bass fisherman from Downey, California. Like season 11 of 'The Bachelorette,' Velvick and Jay Overbye were both considered the bachelor for the first episode. The women were given the chance to vote on who they would rather date. Velvick proposed to Mary Delgado at the end of the season. The couple stayed together for five years.
7. Charlie O’Connell
Charlie was an actor from New York that can be known for his small role in 'Dude, Where's My Car?' At the end of his season, Sarah Brice and he decided to continue to date. They had a few breakup and makeups throughout the years but eventually ended in 2010.
8. Travis Lane Stork
Travis is a medical doctor from Fort Collins, Colorado. He is best known for his talk show 'The Doctors.' He did not propose to Sarah Stone at the end of the show, but they continued to date. They couple had ended their relationship shortly after the season aired.
9. Lorenzo Borghese
Prince Lorenzo was a cosmetics entrepreneur from Milan, Italy. This season took place in Rome but didn't end with a proposal. Jennifer Wilson and Lorenzo dated for almost a year before their breakup.
10. Andrew Baldwin
Andrew was a Naval Officer, Doctor, and Humanitarian from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Baldwin got engaged to Tessa Horst, but the couple never married.
11. Brad Womack
Brad was a bar owner from Atlanta, Georgia. Both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft were rejected at this season's finale.
12. Matt Grant
Matt was a global financier from London. He did propose to Shayne Lamas, but they decided to break up and stay friends not long after.
13. Jason Mesnick
Jason was an account executive from Cleveland, Ohio. Even though he proposed to Melissa Rycroft at this season's finale, he called off the engagement and got back together with runner-up Molly Malaney at the After the Finale Rose show. The couple has been together ever since and had their first child in 2013.
14. Jake Pavelka
Jake was a commercial pilot from Dallas Texas. He proposed to Vienna Girardi, but they broke up, very dramatically, in 2010. They both later went on 'Bachelor Pad' which ended in more drama, but no relationship.
15. Brad Womack
Brad came back for another chance at love, after not picking anyone during season 11. This time he did propose to Emily Maynard but after a few breakups, the couple officially ended things in 2011.
16. Ben Flajnik
Ben was a winemaker and runner-up on 'The Bachelorette' from Sonoma, California. Flajnik and Courtney Robertson broke off their engagement while the show was airing. They tried to give it another go after the season ended, but eventually ended things for good in 2012.
17. Sean Lowe
Sean was an insurance agent from Arlington, Texas. He proposed to Catherine Giudici and the couple has been together ever since. They had their first child, Samuel, in 2016.
18. Juan Pablo Galavis
Juan Pablo was a former semi-professional soccer player from Ithaca, New York. He might be one of the most hated bachelors of all time. Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell did not get engaged but decided to continue to date. They later went on the show, 'Couples Therapy' but broke up months later.
19. Chris Soules
Chris, from the 10th season of 'The Bachelorette,' was a farmer from Arlington, Iowa. At the end of his season, he proposed to Whitney Bischoff, but the couple called things off.
20. Ben Higgins
Ben was a fan favorite from the 11th season of 'The Bachelorette.' He was a software salesman from Warsaw, Indiana. His season ended with a little too much love for both contestants but eventually decided to propose to Lauren Bushnell. They couple started a show, 'Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After,' and live together in Denver, Colorado.
21. Nick Viall
This is Nick's fourth time trying to find love in bachelor nation. He is a software sales executive from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The rest of his story is TBA.
