Dear Fall Semester,
We’ve had some good times together over the past few months. The beginning of our relationship was filled with excitement and the possibilities just seemed endless. However, as we progressed, so did the troubles with our relationship. From staying up all night studying, reading, doing homework, to just plain being stressed out. I’m writing this letter because we need a break.
All good things must come to an end, and right now this is my time to be free and grow as an individual. I need to be stress free and have fun with my friends without worrying about all the stress you cause me. At this point in time, I just don’t want to be tied down or committed to you anymore. However, we did have some good times together. I learned so many new things during our relationship, such as the body parts of earthworms, how to write chemical equations, all about the Vietnam War, and even about the brain. You also taught me that procrastination is never a good thing, and that black coffee is a great way to stay awake.
So, thank you. Thank you for all the memories and lessons you’ve taught me during our brief four month relationship. I will cherish these four months forever, and hopefully I will carry the lessons you’ve taught me as I continue through life and my college career.
