I'm Not A Democrat, But The Internet Seems To Think So

Just because I don't agree with you, doesn't mean I side with one certain party.

Everyone nowadays seems to be super obsessed with what political party you are apart of or associate your self with. Some are quick to delete you from their social media accounts, and occasionally even shun you from the family because of it. Ever since the 2016 election, I've seen my fair share of both parties and equally hated both members in the general election.

I hate how extreme many Republicans can be with "Make America Great Again," because if I'm being honest, we have always been pretty bad throughout history. In all honesty, I would have much rather had Bernie Sanders win than the two that managed to get up to the top. And Now, I know that many hot-headed republicans are itching to get into my comments screaming at me and calling me a communist because I wanted Bernie Sanders to be in the top two of "Americas Got Idiots In DC."

But If you are one of the many people on the Republican side that can sit through someone's argument without doing that then thank you, and let us continue.

America was built on stolen lands, we forced natives off their homes, murdered them and tricked them into giving us things. All in the name of everyone's Christian 'God' because we came seeking religious freedom. When we got our lands it wasn't enough so we pushed and pushed them until our 'great' nation cast them aside in 'reservations' out west with practically nothing.

We build buildings and harvested crops overtop of the resting places of the natives' ancestors, and treated them with the most disrespect. We build our nation on immigrants from all over, America was a safe haven for the unwanted from everywhere. We put countless Japanese-Americans in places almost exactly like concentration camps after pearl harbor.

Slavery wasn't abolished until 1865, Segregation wasn't fully abolished until 1964, And now we want to refuse refugees because they're fleeing a terrible government, cry about 'jobs being taken' by illegals when you could easily get up and go get one, and continue to judge people.

So far only a handful of things coming out of America have been 'great' like our many scientists screaming about climate change, like Bill Nye, who all want to fix the earth's ever-rising climate change but get shrugged off because it still snows. Countless Scientist gets cast aside because the same ignorant people crying over someone else's choices in life refuse to believe in anything other than their own blind faith.

But hey, if you don't want to believe in facts I won't be the one to stop you. However, I would enjoy it if you didn't feel the need to shove religion into politics, or any argument you get into with anyone.

Call me a democrat if you want, and If being a decent human being, and asking the government to change and recognize the real major problems in our torn country is being a Communist, a leftist, a Democrat, or a snowflake, then I guess you can call me all four.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.
