The excitement of spring break is upon us. The class loads are building up, and don’t even get me started on pre-spring break exams. It’s not a relaxing time in the weeks building up to spring break. Most people are traveling to warmer places to get away from the stresses of school. Though going to places like Florida are fun, there’s no reason you can’t use the week to recoup and relax.
Spring break is an exciting time to go somewhere with your friends and have a good time. At the same time, college is stressful and we get worn down with all of the work we are required to do. Sometimes it becomes too much, and we need a break from it all. Why not relax this spring break? Take this opportunity to go home and sleep off the stressful life of a college student. It’s not a bad thing to use spring break as a relaxation time rather than a party 24/7. Your body and mind need a break.
College is stressful. We have exams, homework, extracurricular activities, clubs, and meetings. Going to a beach with your friends can be awesome, but some of us need to de-stress from all of our obligations. It’s a week with NO OBLIGATIONS. We should take advantage of it and give ourselves a break. Sleep as long as you want. Watch an unhealthy amount of Netflix. It’s not a bad idea to take a break. I mean we all need one from time to time. Take advantage of getting your life together, and planning out the weeks following spring break. Give yourself some “you time”.
College students are notorious for going to the southern states for spring break. We can't help that we love the beach. It also helps to get away from the freezing temperatures. No one likes walking to class in the cold, so it's nice to get away from all of the stresses for a week. It's not so terrible to think about other options as well. Relaxing isn't the worst way to spend your spring break. I know the parties are fun, but you might end up running yourself down. If we want to get rid of our stresses of school, then the best way to spend spring break is taking in some much needed rest.
By relaxing on spring break, we allow ourselves to prevent stress from happening. Whether we want to acknowledge it or not, the week of spring break will come to an end and we will be back to our same hectic lives. We can take the week to prepare for the upcoming weeks and get rid of the stress before it starts.
We need a break. Don't be afraid to take one and get some much needed rest. Relax this spring break and get ready to push through the rest of the semester!
