Marune: A BJJ Training Log and Social Media App

For any Jiu Jitsu guys out there, that have always wanted to have a training log, now you can.

Over the past four months I've used an app on my phone called Marune. Marune is a Jiu Jitsu

Social media/ training log app that is free to download on IOS and Android. With Marune

you can log in your training sessions as it keeps track of how much time you've spent

training, how much time you rolled for and where you train at along with what technique

you learned. The cool thing about this app is you can also add and connect with friends as well.

On top of keeping track of specific training sessions, the app also compares your weeks, how

much tie you've spent training monthly and how much activity you've logged in since you

started using the app. It also has a weight tracker feature and you can also keep track of what Gi

you used during which training session. As for competitions, Marune has a feature for that as

well. The competition feature allows you to log in where it was held, what the name of it was

what your win/loss record was for it and what medal you won. Making an account is super easy

with Marune. All you have to do is sign up with an email and password, then you have to put in

your name along with a screen name and then all you have to do from there is choose a profile

picture, then put in what rank you are, Belt and Stripe(s), where you train and with who you

train, then you are done setting up your account. The best part is that instead of a like button it

says "OSS". That literally couldn't be more perfect. Again, this app is absolutely free to use on

IOS and Android and I highly encourage those who train to use it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
