Whyy Girls Should Go Braless

Because bras are cutting into my bottom line and so much more.

Ever since we are young, girls have been brainwashed to think that wearing a bra is not only normal, but healthy and necessary to have a fulfilled happy life. Girls have also been taught that not wearing a bra is somehow "whore-ish" or "wrong". They are taught that somehow, by going bra-less, girls become some kind of 70's oddity or 80's feminist or 50's slutty biker-chick. The only modern time decade in which not wearing a bra, was not only acceptable but encouraged was the bum-chic era of the 90's. It wasn't until the 20-teens that going bra-less become so encouraged that bra-burning is an actual thing and nip-stickers have no longer become a statement, but to an extent, a social norm- or at the very least, nothing too peculiar.

Still, there are some issues tied with the bra-burning ideal, many of which are just misconceptions. However, going bra-less isn't just for celebrities or girls with "perky ta-ta's". Going bra-less has actual physical benefits for females.

Here are 5 reasons why you should let your girls hang free and unrestricted:

1. Bras have no advantage medically or otherwise.

In a medical study done in France, it has shown that wearing a bra actually sags your breasts rather than keeping them up

2. Bras don't allow the breast to develop natural elasticity

Because the bra is holding your breasts up, the elasticity that would develop with time and gravity that keep your breasts from sagging doesn't build up, leading to premature sagging.

3. Going Bra-less makes your nipples perkier.

The same study that showed that bras create sagging rather than helping with its form, shows that women who went bra-less showed a 0.3 inch rise in nipple placement, so your breasts and nipples become "perky"/ standing on their own. Your nipples are happy and thanking you profusely.

4. It is very rare to find a perfect fitting bra

Let's face the facts, unless you're a mannequin or have the market body size, it is very hard to find a perfect bra. As so many people have told you, a wrong fitting bra is bad news. Going bra-less, or even wireless, is a better and safer choice.

5. Bras suck

It is literally wire-cover clothe wrapping itself around your breasts and back, shoving your breasts to unnatural highs, restricting your breathing and airflow. And they are the bane of every girl's existence. What's a better feeling, after all, than flinging the contraption out of your shirt and into the hamper?

Chocolate, Netflix, pizza and sleeping in- but that's besides the point. The point is, other than a social "requirement", there is no good reason to wear a bra. They are more trouble than they're worth. If you are one of the many women who can't not wear a bra because of size or what-have-you, try sports bras or wireless bras and bralettes. At the very least, the wire can go- for good.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
