8 Things Boys Do That Drive Girls Completely Crazy, In A Good Way

Let's get this straight—boys are buffoons. Whereas girls overthink absolutely everything to achieve the best possible end result, boys claim to "think logically" when really they just go with the first thing that comes to mind. They are simple creatures—and yet we can't get enough of them and their little eccentricities. Here are just a few of the things boys do that drive us crazy.

1. Roll their sleeves up

Ugh. That little hint of the forearm is just so tantalizing. This gives the illusion of more defined arms (just like a beard gives the illusion of a better jawline) but this is one kind of deception I'm ready and willing to accept.

2. Place their hand on your back/waist

The lower back and waist are some of the most sensitive and sensual parts of the body. So it's no wonder whenever a boy puts their hand there in passing ("just trying to get through") it sends shivers up and down your spine.

3. Play with their hair

Watching them tousle and tease their hair only makes you want to run your fingers through it that much more. They make it hard to keep your hands to yourself.

4. That little, slow smile

How can they make something as innocent as a smile look so adorable yet so sexy at the same time? In any case, this brings attention to their mouth and more importantly, their lips—and you end up thinking about kissing them even if it was unintentional.

5. Boy smell (you know you love it)

While some boys need to be taught a lesson in moderation (you shouldn't smell like a walking Axe factory), that distinct and clean musky smell is just addictive, especially when they pull you into a hug or they lean in close. Often you find it, it takes everything you have to stop yourself from pulling them closer.

6. Boy squeezes

The flirty, affectionate boys do this best. Greeting a boy with a hug and getting a tight squeeze in response (or a cheeky little grab) is the best feeling and you end up thinking about it for days on end.

7. Check up texts

Nothing is more heart-warming than checking your phone and seeing you got a text from a guy you like. It's even better when it's them checking in on you, asking what you're doing and if you got home safe. It shows that they care and even worry about you and that you were on their mind. So cute!

8. When they look at you like you're the best thing in the world

Boys are often easily distracted. But when you're having a conversation and he's giving you his full attention and keeping eye contact with you, it's hard not to get flustered. Sometimes, if you look hard enough, you can see how his eyes light up whenever you come around, and that's when you know you got him.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her. Fans love her because she isn't afraid to be herself. April can seem cold and negative, but she's really just fearless and strong-minded. And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student.
