Let's face it. Shopping for guys is the easiest thing in the world because they don't really care what they get, but it's also the hardest thing in the world...because they don't really care what they get. You want to get them something meaningful that they will actually care about and be excited to receive, but you also don't want to overdo it, since they really would be fine with just about anything you got them! So, I've compiled a list of gifts that work for the guys that really just want something simple and basic, and I've also thrown in some cute, sentimental gifts for the guys that want a meaningful, thoughtful gift this year. Yes, there are sensitive guys out there that would die to have a scrapbook of pictures of you two! Then there are also guys that would be just as excited for a pair of socks. It's your job to figure out which one of these guys your boo is this holiday season, then this list will take care of the rest.

A watch

So he's never late picking you up for a date again! Plus, a man with a nice watch can be suuuper sexy.

A shaving kit

Also super sexy? Facial hair. However, the holiday season is a wonderful time for men to clean it up a little to impress his family and yours!

A Bluetooth speaker

For blaring music in his man cave, duh.

Video games

Find out what the latest, best-rated game is and buy it! He’ll be surprised and impressed.

A cool flask

Any kind of flask will do, just don’t get the ones that say “R.I.P. Harambe”. Let’s leave that in 2016, please.

A framed photo of the two of you

Maybe even get a wooden frame from Hobby Lobby and personalize it yourself. Homemade gifts are always well received.

A YETI thermos

“Keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot until the last sip!”

The complete saga of his favorite movie franchise

Then to top off this gift, offer to watch it all together! He’ll love that you seem into his movies and he'll love even more being able to talk to you about them now!

Coupons

Be as creative with these as you'd like.

A nice sweater

Something you could see yourself cuddling up to fireside, sipping hot cocoa.

A simple wallet

Usually a basic leather one does nicely!

Flannels

Guys love wearing these almost as much as we love borrowing them. :-)

A sweatshirt

Go for one that's cute and comfy so you can steal it later.

A personalized book of why you love him

Get crafty and create a mini book stating reasons why he’s the guy for you. He will appreciate this more than you know!

A Samsung Gear Virtual Reality headset

These things are SO COOL. Plus, they’re only $99?!? I figured wizardry technology like this would be a few hundreds, at least.

Athletic clothes

Nike, Adidas, Under Armour…literally anything from any of these stores.

Tickets

Support his favorite sports team, artist, show, etc. by buying him tickets to let him know how much you love him this holiday season.

A playlist of songs that remind you of him

This could include songs from “I Want To Know What Love Is” to “SexyBack” to “I’m Yours”. Pretty much whatever you want!

A bottle of his favorite liquor

Only if he’s 21, of course!!!!!

A key to your place

This is a big step in a relationship, but if you think you're both ready, go for it! Even go to the effort of wrapping it up or putting a bow on it to make it more special.

An all-purpose pocket knife

You never know when he’ll need…any of those little tools that pop out of the sides of pocket knives. I have no idea what any of their names are or their purposes but he’ll know! Also, maybe get crafty and get his name engraved into it.

A bottle of his favorite cologne

Another super sexy quality about men: when they smell good.

A nice water bottle

CamelBak, Contigo, S’well, and Blender Bottle are some good brands to check for.

Socks

Because he probably already put holes in the ones you bought him last year.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
