Let alone the fact they are now four time soccer world champions.

We Should All Bow Down To The US Women's National Team

Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe...you've probably heard these names multiple times at least in the past month, if not longer. If you haven't, these are two women on the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) for soccer, which just won the Women's World Cup. The team of women on the USWNT are not only incredible athletes but role models and straight up bada**es. The USWNT filed a lawsuit against FIFA for equal pay between the women's and men's teams and have fought countless times for gender equality in sports. They were not scared to fight for what they believe in and change the lives of those around them. That in itself is incredible.

Rapinoe, a Women's World Cup champion, Golden Boot winner, and Golden Ball winner has not been afraid to speak her mind. During an interview, she said she's not going to the White House if the team wins. This turned heads, and some people thought it was great and others inappropriate. Regardless of your view, she was not afraid to speak her mind and stood by her views when she was questioned.

Ashlyn Harris is also a big name on the USWNT. She has been documenting via Instagram stories the team's excitement of winning completely candidly. It shows a personal level of love the team has for each other and shows how this group of highly elite athletes still has fun and loves the support fans, friends, and family give.

Aside from the "off-field" activities, players like Crystal Dunn and Rose Lavelle are showing their insane athleticism throughout the entire World Cup along with the rest of the team. This group of women has not only shown how good they are on the field, but they also are not afraid to tell it how it is and fight for what is right. It is truly inspiring to see them thrive and care so much about our country as well as not care about what others think of them. They are an absolutely amazing team inside and out and deserve this win (and many more to come) on and off the field.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
