Living in New York City is crazy expensive. After a hectic work week, you want to enjoy your weekend, see your friends, and maybe pound a few drinks down. The best way to get all these accomplished, in my opinion, is brunch with unlimited booze. Here are some of my favorite places that won't leave you for broke.
1. Cuba
Cuba NYC has a pretty great brunch menu ranging from Benedict Habaneros to Arroz con Pollo. The food is as authentic as you can get. The empanadas were definitely my favorite appetizer. On top of your meal, for an extra $14 you get unlimited cocktails (Mimosa, Sparkling Mojito, Sangria, etc.) for an 90 minutes. Try the White Sangria.
2.Loft 142
When I moved uptown, I was fortunate enough to have a ton of friends living up there. One of our favorite places to frequent was Loft 142 for Sunday Brunch. Here you can find your usual brunch staples: burgers, steak and eggs, french toast. You also get 90 minutes to get plastered on Mimosas or one of their other well made drinks. This Sunday brunch also features a drag show that usually starts up around 3PM. Trust me, it'll be a ball.
Another of my favorite West Village restaurants is Diablo Royale. How can you go wrong with Mexican? For $25 you can enjoy unlimited Sangria, Bloody Marys, or Mimosas. Grub wise, try the Chilaquiles!
If you're looking to party during the day, this would be the perfect choice. The music is thumping (loudly), so if you want to hang with some friends but don't want to hear their entire workweek story, this would be the place. Brunch here is a little more expensive than the rest, but for $45 you get 2 hours of bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. The food offering is alright, I'd go with the Chicken & Waffles. Once again, this is definitely a place you go to party. You might also run into some 'bros.'
5. Woodland NYC
Located in the beautiful Park Slope neighborhood, you can enjoy brunch "prepared with the freshest veggies and fruits from the local farmers market." The menu has a little something for everything. I tried the Vegetarian Burger ($15), which was a Portobello mushroom with red pepper, onions, and Wisconsin goat cheese. It was honestly not my favorite vegetarian dish. I was left drooling over the Red Velvet Waffles & Fried Chicken. Nonetheless, for an additional $15 you can enjoy bottomless mimosas for 2 hours. I would advise making reservations. Also, prepare for the awesome 90's, 2000s R&B and Hip Hop we've grown to love.
