Signature Boston

Boston has and will always be known as one of the greatest cities in America. What's so great about Boston, you ask? It's the home to so much history, and it's a great place for fun for the whole family!

1. History

Boston is known as the Athens of America for a reason. From food to a good education, Boston has so much to offer. Boston plays host to some of the best colleges in the world including the place where you should actually not "pahk ya cah": Harvard (the first university in the US). Actually, Boston has a lot of firsts! For example, it is home to one of America's oldest restaurants (Union Oyster House), and the first train service in the United States of America. Union Oyster House was on the Freedom Trail, and we still have it there today! How cool is that? Take some time to submerge yourself in the heart of American history.

2. Fun

Looking for some fun? Boston has so much to do, and it's all-inclusive. Kids, grandparents and everyone between will find something that they love in here. A couple of Boston hot spots are the New England Aquarium, and the Franklin Park Zoo. Kids (and, yes, adults too) will love seeing all the animals, and they'll learn lots in the process!

While you're in the area, why not visit the Prudential Tower and have a look at this wondrous city? The Prudential Center is a great place for food, entertainment, and, of course, shopping! If you get hungry from all this fun, or you want to go on another shopping spree, or pick up some Boston gifts for friends and relatives, take a pit stop at Faneuil Hall or Copley Place (you might even see a street performance or two!).

If you love museums there are four great museums in Boston (they've got what you need for all ages): The Museum of Fine Arts, The Isabella Gardner Museum, The Museum of Science, and The Boston Children's Museum.

3. Sports

Sports are a huge part of Boston. If you're a baseball fan, Fenway Park is a dream come true. Fenway is the oldest Baseball Stadium, standing proud since 1912! If you like sport but baseball isn't quite your thing, you can visit the TD Bank Garden where you can see the Bruins play hockey, or the Celtics play basketball. (The Boston Bruins last won the championship in 2011, and the Boston Celtics last won in 2007.)

All in all, Boston is one of the greatest cities in the United States, and I would definitely suggest you take the time to experience it. Not only is it the place for history, fun, and sports, but it is my home.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
