Dreamwork's "Boss Baby" plays on the jokes that babies are the bosses of the house. "The Boss Baby" explores the changes that occurs in the household once a new baby has arrived. Specifically, in the case where the only child is no longer doted on as all the attention is diverted to the baby. Alec Baldwin voices the suit outfitted boss baby who takes over the house with his arrival. The boss baby and his brother Tim voiced by Tobey Maguire develop an instant rivalry that starts from the former's arrival in the taxi. With this rivalry comes humor and great visuals.
It offers the kid and adult entertainment balance through usage of inside jokes. With "Shrek" I missed a lot of the adult jokes but with "Boss Baby" I was able to get them as I am now an adult. It was great getting the humor whilst seeing it going over the kids head. I think this balance is really what made the movie entertainning and clever for my friends and I. It pokes at the middle management class culture. The humor partenered with the visuals really brought the animation to life. The large-eyes and the pouty mouth twists makes you want to take home the little ones. The only problem is finding out their mission.
The sibling bonding and familial love partnered with the dowey eyes and baby leaves you gushing for more.
