We often travel and flying on a passenger plane is one of the most common and fastest way to do so. With increased air traffic and multiple connections, it is not uncommon to have a layover at the airport and the time seems to crawl and snail's pace in those situations. So let's look at some of the options which you can apply to kill your time while waiting for your flight inside the airport terminal.

1) SLEEP

Big airports often have lavish lounges which are ideal for napping. In case there isn't such lounge find yourself a cozy spot somewhere in the terminal and relax.

2) EAT

If you are not first class you would usually be starving waiting for your next connecting flight. So why not find a good restaurant in the airport and start munching. A TV screening a live football game would be an icing on the cake with your meal.

3) MOVIE

If you are travelling with a laptop or tablet it would be a good time to catch up on a movie while waiting for your plane to take off.

4) EXPLORE

It might be a good idea or walk around the terminal and explore the area. This will also be a good exercise for your numbing legs and aching back after a long flight.

5) SHOP

Most of the international airports have lots of stores which provide duty free goods. It is a great idea to buy gifts for your loved ones from a duty free shop as you are waiting to take off.

6) FLY-BY-MYSELF

If none of the things listed above can resolve your boredom problems and you are totally frustrated waiting for your flight just take the matters in your hands and be your own pilot, although borrowing a plane wouldn't be easy.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
