For some reason, when it comes down to it loving yourself tends to be kind of difficult. For some people confidence comes naturally to people for others...it can be kind of difficult, and that's understandable. That's why I've created this list that will hopefully help you out a little bit.

1. Encourage yourself

Take the time to tell yourself that you love yourself.

2. Dress in a way that you're comfortable

Fashion tends to be overemphasized in the world that we live in today. When it's all said and done, you don't need to dress for anyone else but you. If you want to be comfortable, do it. If you want to dress super glamorous for no reason, awesome! If you want to wear all black, do it!

3. Smile at yourself in the mirror

If you can wake up everyday and smile, I think your entire day is going to be a thousand times better.

4. Change you hair color

This goes along with dressing comfortably. If you want to change your hair color to fit the way that you're feeling at that moment, I think that's perfectly fine! I changed my hair color four times this summer!

5. Do something you love everyday

Whether it's reading, writing, dancing, running, whatever it is, take time to do it daily. It'll give you something to look forward to everyday, and something to keep you going all day.

6. Be around people who are like you

Surrounding yourself with people who have things in common with you will help you to have a sense of belonging.

7. Be around people who are different from you

Even though this sounds like a contradiction to the one above, it's good to have variety in your life. Being with others who are different will give you a chance to contribute something to a group, thus making you feel important.

8. Talk to everyone

Have you ever just had a conversation with a random stranger? It's very engaging and great to interact with other people who are maybe complete strangers to you. You never know who's going to have a crazy story.

9. realize you're not perfect, but also...no one is

It's easy to fall into the idea of thinking that you need to be perfect, especially when it comes to trying to impress other people. When it's all said and done, no one is perfect.

10. Encourage other people

Building other people up will help to build yourself up because they'll smile and then you'll smile and everyone will be happy and the world will be a beautiful place! (I wish)

11. Remember Humility

Going off of the last one, don't get so caught in yourself that you become snobby. No one likes that. Simply love yourself and love others.

12. Be the best you that you can be

No one else can be you and if you don't be you, there's no you. You are beautiful and deserve to be loved.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
