With 2017 here, that means more and more books to be able to read. I have set my goal this year to 50 books. While that may sound like a lot, there are many books that I have wanted to read that have already been released, check them out! Like what you see? Check out my book Instagram, @quirkybooknook!

1. The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher

After the very tragic and early death of Carrie Fisher, I definitely want to read her 2016 memoir of her times during the filming of the Star Wars movie.

2. The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace

A poetry book that explores life and aspects of it such as love and loss? Yes please.

3. Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

While this poetry book came out way back in 2014, it has gained popularity and I hope to read its poetry about love and loss.

4. Adulthood Is a Myth by Sarah Andersen

As I'll be turning 21 years old this year, I'm understanding how adults rarely know what they're doing. This comic book will only help prove that!

5. Welcome to Night Vale: A Novel by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor

As per recommendation from my boyfriend, based on the Night Vale podcast.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
