As we are approaching Christmas break, there are many days that go by with nothing to do. After I have finished watching my Netflix series or I am already sick of my family, there is one thing that keeps me sane. I will lie in bed the whole day and read an entire book. Now some of you may not like to read or may be thinking, why on earth would I read when I have a break to do anything? Well, I am just giving a suggestion on what to do to pass time until the night, or any activity that you might be looking forward to. Here are a couple super intriguing and suspenseful books that I just got done reading: "Tell Me," "Now or Never," and "Aftermath."

In the story "Tell Me," a woman in Savannah, Georgia was convicted of killing her oldest daughter and severely injuring her son and other daughter one night. She claims that a man came in the house and had a gun and shot them all, since she had a wound on her arm from a bullet that was shot at her. The prosecution argued that she wanted to get rid of her children with her boyfriend at the time. Now, twenty years later, her son is recanting his testimony.

In the story "Now or Never," a Boston police detective has to figure out if three murders of New England women revolve around one serial killer, or if they are all separate killings. Without any clues or evidence, he has nowhere to start. He contacts a popular star on an investigation to help him solve the crimes.

"Aftermath" is the first book in a three book series. This story is about a college woman who is an introvert, shy, and doesn’t have many social skills. She ends up tutoring the star soccer player that everyone says is the biggest player. After tutoring him for a while, she ends up realizing that he isn’t what everyone else makes him out to be, he is actually sweet and caring, nothing like what she had expected.

Here are just a couple books that might peek your interest. Lie down in your best one-day and try them out. I bet you will be surprised how long you can actually read for.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
