As the world of social media increases and education puts more of an emphasis on the hard sciences, recreational reading at the university level is very rare. Many either don't have the time to read or they don't know what to read without a teacher handing them a novel for a classroom assignment.
So, to jump start into a reading affair, here are five books you should try to read during the 2015-16 academic year.
1. "1984" by George Orwell
2. "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire
3. "The Stranger" by Albert Camus
4. "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood
5. "The International Bank of Bob" by Bob Harris
Of course these are mere suggestions and you are strongly encouraged to go to the nearest library and ask for help finding a book more suited to your tastes.
Happy Reading!
