To those who love to read like me and know the feeling of emptiness after finishing a really good book, this is for you. To those who want to get into reading, but don’t know where to begin, this is also for you.
1. The Beautiful Disaster Series by Jamie McGuire
The Beautiful Disaster series is one of my all-time favorites. For all the hopeless romantics out there, this is the perfect book series for you. The first book of the series follows Abby Abernathy as she meets Travis Maddox, the typical bad boy. The second book, Walking Disaster, is the same story but from Travis’s perspective, which makes the series that much cooler. The third and fourth book tie into the series as well.
2. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
When I was in high school, my whole sophomore class was forced to read To Kill A Mockingbird for English class. While some of my classmates hated it, the classic has definitely made it onto my list of favorites.
The book follows the Finch family through the Great Depression and is very controversial because it holds many serious societal issues. It is a modern classic and is well worth the read.
3. The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
The Divergent series gained much more attention after being made into a movie, but I’m a firm believer that the books will always be better than the movies.
Tris Prior will always be one of the toughest girls in literature in my opinion, right next to Katniss Everdeen.
4. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Even if you have already seen the movie about it, this book is definitely one you should read. The book differs so much from the movie, but it’ll still probably have you crying your eyes out just like the movie did.
