21 Books I Want My Daughter To Read

My mom would read each one of these books to me at bed time when I was little and I hope to pass these down to my daughter.

These books are a memory to me that I will never forget. I remember my sister and I would be in the bed, and we would pick out a story for her to read to us every night. Having mom read to me made me feel loved and important. I felt like she was always there for me when I needed her just by doing this. I want my daughter to feel the same way of a carefree and protected space that I had as well.

This book is about a shiny fish who doesn't share his bright scales to other fishies. He learns by not sharing things nobody wants to be around him. Learning the consequences he eventually shares and sees how happy he feels.

This book is about a baby bat who falls into a birds nest. She learns that she is different from her brothers and sisters. Soon realizing, Stellaluna may be discrete but finds ways that help family and friends.

This is a sweet book about a baby bunny thats momma tells him how much she truly loves him. So warming to a kids heart.

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.
