Boldly Humbled: When did it become so hard to talk about Jesus?

In the world nowadays, many people are shutting out Jesus. They ridicule Christians, sin without remorse, and just live unhealthy lives in general. We live in a world where Christians are considered "Freaky Jesus Kids" and other hurtful names. When did that become okay? When did doing a simple act of kindness become an abnormality? When did it become acceptable to put others down and praise being "petty"? When did everyone become obsessed with being "savage" and "roasting" others? It's not cool to put others down. It's not cool to hurt people. It's definitely not cool to spread hate.

Our world is so incredibly in need of a Savior. Luckily we have one, though not many people actually acknowledge Him these days. When did it become so hard to talk about Jesus? It shouldn't be, but it is. I know a lot of times I refrain from speaking about my God to others. But that's not okay.

"You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others." - 2 Timothy 2:2 Being a Christian means that we are called to share the gospel with others. We must humble ourselves to God and do His will, and reach other people's hearts.

Finding Jesus is something that we all need. When I'm lost and I can't get a grip, I need to sit down and find my way back to the Lord. "Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." - Psalm 55:22. When I truly need Him to, He takes every bit of stress, despair, frustration and doubt away from me and gives me peace. That's something that we all need. So share that faith. Let it consume you and share it with the world. You never know whose heart you can reach. It may be incredibly scary to talk to others about God, but we must hold on and be bold. Humble yourselves. Reach others. Change the world.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

1028
Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
