The story about David and Goliah as a whole is inspiring, but what truly stands out to me is David's confidence in God. He's a small and scrony shephard boy who goes into battle with a sling shot, but refuses to wear an armor, because he trusts that the Lord will protect Him. He denies putting on any protection, but although he is exposed, he walks boldly to face this giant.
What Giants are you facing today? It could be trying to fit in with friends at school, looking for a promotion. What ever is it, you don't need to conform to how other people tackle their problems. You dont need to hide behind your fear, or shield yourself with other peoples expectations of you. Just be yourself, be who God created you to be. When He made you he made you more than capable to conquer the obstacles that you will face.
Be yourself, embrace who you are. Others might not like you, believe in you, or see the great warrior that God created you to be. It is not people who decide your capabilities, but once you accept them, you become them. When you limit yourself to the words of others, you live up to their limit. Although facing the giants in you life as you are can feel threatening, God has equipt you with the power of His word that says that you are more that an conqueror.
