"Bob's Burgers" might be underrated because it's a cartoon and it's not "Archer." However, this is more than another colorful manic comedy. The Belchers emanate charm and wit, but have also proven to be pretty incredible role models for everything we've ever wanted our families to be. A classic, lovable, upper East Coast American family that should inspire us all and here's why.

1. Their community adores them

They're local heroes and their community appreciates them for who they are. They give back with hospitality to homeless folks, cows and sometimes criminals. Not to mention their burgers-of-the-day that always leave their loyal customers smiling. Even Big Bob can see his inadequate son didn't completely fail.

2. They're truly patriotic

They hold tight to local traditions like the Land Ship Parade, the Art Crawl and Halloween, like true Americans.

3. They're in touch with other cultures, too

They really do take in the melting pot of -- Ocean City, New Jersey.

4. Bob Belcher exemplifies the American Dream

He is sure to teach his kids how to follow the "American Dream." He built his restaurant from the ground up (multiple times) and if that's not how big dreams come true then I don't know how they do.

5. They're full of other valuable life lessons, too

Lessons like buckling your seat belt, that only hookers shave above the knee and that butts are art.

6. They make sacrifices for each other

They always stick together and never hesitate to sacrifice for one another.

7. They really stick together

After all, they are a family unit. Sometimes unity means chanting inappropriate words or sitting with each other at the school lunch table even though you see each other every waking moment of everyday.

8. They're always there with a helping hand

They would never let each other take on a fight or long-haired dancing man alone.

9. They encourage each other

Sometimes even dads need to be told they are beautiful.

10. They let each other be exactly who they are

That includes Tina with her erotic friend fiction, Louise with her pink bunny ears and Gene simply being Gene.

11. They know their worth

They constantly remember their worth and they wouldn't dare let someone walk all over them or their family.

12. They're optimistic

They know that they control their successes (and failures) because they're the Belchers.

13. They're humble

They will always come back down to earth and give other humans the credit where credit is due (thanks to Tina and her boobs).

14. They're content with what they have

Things might not be perfect for them but they're doing life the best they can. Louis may love money, but at the end of the day, they're family no matter what.

15. Above all, they love each other

Through the sass and the disaster, they care about each other more than burgers or turkeys.

16. They are never lacking in family pride

They're the Belchers and they have family pride until the day they end up at Mort's.

So, thank you, Belchers. Thank you for making America never want to own restaurants but always want to own life like you.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
