A movie spin off of the popular Spike TV show, Blue Mountain State, will begin filming this November in Charleston, South Carolina. The movie, originally set to shoot in Quebec, Canada announced the location change noting it was due to the conditions of the buildings. While on a trip to Quebec this summer, Creator Eric Falconer realized the set for the college campus was not up to par. Due to mold and leaky ceilings, it would be too costly to update it. He also noted that the weather in Charleston during mid-November would be nicer than it would be in Canada.Â
It only seems right that a movie about the two of the most American past times, watching football and drinking beer, be filmed in America. Sorry Quebec, but nobody throws down like Charleston.Â
