We've all heard the terms "dumb blonde," "blond moment," or even the stereotypical 'blond joke' but have no fear ladies because we get the last laugh. Throughout time, blond women have proven to not only be the life of the party, but also confident, dominant and hot! So this is for all you blondies out there.

1. We live life on the edge:  Studies show that blondes tend to be more spontaneous than brunettes. We're more relaxed when it comes to decision making, knowing exactly when the perfect time is to have a good time. Chances are during a girls night out, the blond friend is the first one on the dance floor (or the table). We truly are the life of the party.

2. Men find blondes more attractive: This dates all the way back to the paleolithic period (stone age), when men claimed to be more sexually attracted to blondes because they "stood out from their rivals." Science claims men tend to deem blondes more attractive because only about 2 percent of the human population is actually blond. Blondes are a rare species thus making the demand higher and the supply lower aka men want the rare object but not all of them can have it (and we all know men want what they can't always have).

3. Blondes are more confident: For one, blondes tend to be more aggressive in the work field. Studies have shown that blondes are more willing to ask for a raise than women with another hair color (or in other situations where we don't feel we are being treated fairly). Brunettes may be 'smarter' but we know how to make some serious moola.

4. We look younger: That's right ladies, long after your brunette friends stop getting carded, you might be getting older, but you won't look a day past 20. In more technical terms, blondes have less pigmentation (dark spots), thus allowing deeper penetration of UV lights, needed to synthesize vitamins. Sure, right now that might be a little frustrating but one day all those bars that denied you and drinks you couldn't order will pay off.

5. We kick ass: 'Nuff said.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
