Ever since I was able to spit out words on a paper, writing has always been one of my favorite things to do. English class in school has been the class I looked forward to the most, and still is. Awhile ago, I started writing for the Odyssey Online. This opportunity for me has been a total blessing. Since I’ve started writing, I always get asked, “Oh, that’s cool. What made you choose to do that?” I blog for many reasons, from strengthening my vocabulary to letting some words out. That’s just where it starts.

I blog to become a better writer. Writing has been my passion forever, and bettering myself in something I enjoy is self satisfying. Just like in sports, when a player makes self progress, it helps with their confidence in their game. Writing is my ‘game.’ Since I’ve started blogging, my confidence in school papers and general conversations has gone up.

I’ve become a better thinker and see life on a deeper point. The way blogging has opened my eyes is incredible. I’ve learned to see the world in a bigger perspective, and think harder on the things that matter the most. I’ve discovered that there is more than one way to speak, or more than one way to handle something.

Blogging has become a way for me let words out that I didn’t know I could say. It’s become a journal for me. It has also opened my mind to more creative thinking. I write about what I want, and it’s expanded my creativity. Being able to produce something that I did and call it my own is something I’m so proud of.

Blogging is such an amazing experience for me, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. It’s such an amazing way to build strength in your mind, creativity, and yourself. If writing is something you seem genuinely interested in, go for it. It’s a wonderful experience.
