For those who know me well, you all know that I absolutely hate asking for money. Unless my grandparents, mom, whoever, asks if I need money to buy whatever at school. I just will never ask for money unless I need to buy something for class, or I'm low on food; I'm not sure why I'm even like this, but I am. This brings us to a few Fridays ago, I was buying groceries. My grandparents had gone out of town, and left me money. However, I had to buy groceries and fill my car up, so I was worried that I didn't have enough money altogether. After seeing the total for groceries, I had to use my cash and my card too so I was worried about how I would pay for things the rest of the weekend. After looking in my account, I saw that my paycheck had been put in early. At that moment, words cannot explain the joy I felt. It was like God knew my heart and blessed me with that in that moment.
Adding on to this is the fact that I got a job after praying and praying about it. I knew that I didn't want my family to have to pay for everything that I needed, plus some, so it was definitely important that I find a job. After applying in stores in town, it wasn't looking good. They weren't hiring, and there weren't a lot of on campus jobs offered. Soon though, I got a call saying that I had an interview working for the Trotter House Bed and Breakfast. No, it isn't the easiest job. I work as needed, and hours may be really long or really short, but I can honestly say that I'm thankful for it. God has blessed me in more ways than I can imagine.
Next, I have been blessed with amazing friends and sorority sisters. I have never had a better group of friends and sisters, and I'm so so thankful for each and every one of them. I can always count on Darby to keep me company when I'm home, Erin to listen to my rants, and Ana to give me needed advice. My sorority sisters though, it feels like I've known them all forever. And they all make college feel like home.
As always, I'm so thankful that God blessed me with such a great family. I'm thankful that I could call or text any one of them, and they'd pick up. I'm thankful for how close we all are, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
I truly am blessed.
