Blake Horstmann From 'The Bachelorette' Is PRIME Husband Material Over Season 14 Winner Garrett Yrigoyen

In This Article:

From the moment Bachelor Nation met Blake Horstmann, we had fallen head over heels in love. From the beginning, we could tell that he was a genuine guy who was funny and was willing to pull out all the stops (and all the animals) necessary to win Becca Kurfin's heart. As season 14 of "The Bachelorette" progressed, just like Becca, we became more attached and found more reasons to fall in love with him. But at the end of things, Becca didn't do the damn thing with Blake.

Naturally, being a Bake fan, I was heartbroken, baffled, and just straight up mad. I couldn't comprehend why Becca wouldn't want to spend the rest of her life with a man as wonderful as Blake. While yes her current fiance, Garrett Yrigoyen, does have redeemable qualities, they don't compare to Blake's in my eyes. Sorry Garrett fans but I think that Blake is the ultimate and most prime example of "husband material."

1. He says the sweetest things about his love interest.

From day one, Blake had nothing but the kindest and sweetest of things to say about Becca. Not only would he say these things to the camera during his interviews but he would also say them DIRECTLY to Becca! That is the key component! He was her number one fan, best hype man, and biggest supporter throughout the process and that's exactly the type of life companion every woman dreams of having.

2. He is down for anything.

This season, there were many group dates, one-on-one dates, as well as two-on-one dates. Activities would range from a game of flag football to a spa day to competing in a lumberjack contest. Whatever date activities were thrown at him, Blake was 110% down to participate and make the most of his time with Becca and the other men. Because of this, I believe that no matter how his future girlfriend, wife, or random one-time date wants to spend time with him he will be ready and willing just because he gets to spend quality time with her.

3. He is not afraid to be a total goofball.

Blake seems to show his true colors at all times which is something all women want their man to do. The GIF above showcases Becca and Blake's first one-on-one date in which they destroyed pictures, television screens, and many other objects that had the face of the previous Bachelor, who is also Becca's ex-fiance, plastered all over them. Blake embraced the date and continued to throw feathers, buckets of paint, and pop bottles of champagne all over the remains of Becca's dreaded ex-fiance. Blake is comfortable with being his goofy self around Becca which means that he will have no issues doing the same for the future lady in his life.

4. HE! IS! SO! HANDSOME!!!!

I'm just going to say it because I know everyone is thinking it. How can you not be instantly swooned after getting a glimpse of him?!

5. He is so devoted.

Throughout the season, there were men that showed questionable intentions and unreliability. Blake never once showed an unwavering personality trait. Everything he did was for Becca's benefit. Everything he said was in favor of his and Becca's relationship. Even if you're one of those people that believes "The Bachelorette" or "The Bachelor" is all fake and a hoax, it has to take a lot of dedication to make America believe that one is THAT devoted to another individual. So if Blake can "fake" his devotion to Becca for the cameras, how devoted do you think he will be to his future wife when his love life isn't being televised?

6. He is just the right amount of a cheesy romantic.

This video clip shows the first time Becca and Bachelor Nation met Blake. He started off strong by showing his promising qualities from the getgo with the incredibly sweet gesture he made for Becca with his horse, Bradley. Small gestures and things he said kept this quality alive throughout the season but I don't think anyone was prepared for him to present Becca with the time capsule he had given her on their final date. Inside, he included images that represented his favorite memories and milestones with her.

These memories included the song he wrote for her on a group date, a journal entry that he wrote the moment he knew he was in love with her and pictures of them at various landmarks they had seen around the world on their travels together. While some may see this as cheesy, I find this to be incredibly sweet because it shows that with every advance he made with Becca, he had SO much thought behind everything he did. So if he can do that much for her, I can't imagine the things he will do for the woman that eventually becomes his wife.

7. The look on his face when he sees Becca for the first time in each episode melts my heart.

With every interaction with her since their first, his smile grew wider and the hugs became tighter. Every woman dreams of having their man look at them like they are the most beautiful human on the earth and Blake does just that.

8. He is so genuine.

During the season 14 finale, Becca said, "He has always been so open and vulnerable and I've never had that in past relationships" and I think that speaks wonders about Blake as a person. Although Becca chose to marry Garrett, she was still able to recognize the things that made Blake so attractive and why she was falling in love with him. There was never once a doubt in my mind that he was doing this all for publicity, attention, or any of the wrong reasons. With that being said, I'm not worried that Blake will die alone because he is a prime candidate to help fulfill any of your relationship goals.

On a final note, I'd love to give a HUGE thank you to my girl Becca for putting one hell of a man back on the market! The female population greatly appreciates it!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
