So, I'm subscribed to a YouTuber named Blaire White, and recently she posted a new YouTube video that infuriated me on so many levels that we need to have a conversation about this. And by "we" I mean all of us.

Blaire is a transgender female who makes important videos rightfully questioning third wave feminism and the political left for their controversial positions and actions. In her newest video, Blaire decided to do a social experiment where she and her boyfriend wore a red "Make America Great Again" Trump baseball cap and walked around different parts of Los Angeles.

The video starts off fine; in the beginning, they're just met with glares and stares from people, but nothing bad. The trouble starts when they start walking near an anti-Trump protest. During this protest, a white male feminist wearing a pink vagina hat yanks off Joey's cap and begins to stomp on it. Blaire goes to retrieve it and the man continues stomping, breaking Blaire's nail. He then proceeds to attempt to attack her, all in front of the police, who simply stand there watching. Once it gets violent, the police finally decide to step in and blame Blaire and Joey for causing trouble.

After that, while filming the conclusion of the video, a man walks by and chucks a cup full of alcohol on Blaire, as well.

I don't even have words to explain how disgusting this is. Let me make a disclaimer: I am not a Trump supporter, nor am I a leftist. That being said, the fact that people cannot wear hats or clothing that express pride or support for their own president without being attacked is horrifying and sad.

What world do we live in? Syria?

Last time I checked this was United F**king States of America.

Land of the free, where you don't have to be worried about being physically assaulted for your political views.

No, not even your political views, but basically supporting the current president of America.

I bet that if any of the leftists who assaulted Blaire knew she was transgender, they would be mortified by their actions. And you know what? Regardless of who she is as a person or her identity, she had no right to be abused like she was in that video.

Leftists and liberals preach non-violence and peace and love, but when they see someone with different political views, they don't hesitate to physically assault them.

The hypocrisy is outrageous.

Just the fact that I'm having to repeat this saddens me, but regardless of who you are and what you believe, you deserve some basic level of respect and decency. NO ONE deserves to be harassed for who they are or what they believe. At the end of the day, Blaire White went home with a bleeding, broken nail, and covered in alcohol. This is not OK.

That's all I needed to get out for now. It saddens me that we live in a country where people can literally get attacked for their political views. It is such a polarizing time in our history, and what we need is unity, not more divisions.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
