Black Friday 101

COME PREPARED!

Lesson one in Black Friday 101: you have to research and come completely prepared, and anyone who doesn't is a rookie. Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. Make a list ahead of time of the stores you want to go to, what time each one opens, and where you will be after at each one. Everyone on Black Friday goes to get the big savings and they will do practically anything for them, so if you aren't prepared, you honestly don't stand a chance.

Come prepared... part 2

Make sure that you are not only prepared to hunt those savings, but you are physically prepared for what you are about to go through. If you will be waiting outside in a line, wear comfy shoes (really, you should wear comfy shoes anyway) and check the weather to determine the rest of your clothing choices. If you are waking up early, go to sleep at a decent time and don't forget your coffee. If you have a whole day of hardcore shopping ahead of you, don't skip breakfast - and maybe even bring some snacks for later.

Remember who you are.

People can get insane on Black Friday, but make sure this isn't you. Remember what you were doing less than 24 hours ago: being thankful for everything you have - not running full speed through a sea of people, not caring who you may knock over, to get to that brand new television you want. Although door-busters are great, the savings shouldn't make you become some sort of barbarian. But walking a little faster than normal, maybe even jogging, to beat someone to the last pair of shoes in your size is not crazy, I mean, if you get there first they are yours! Mainly, remember that while savings are great, you are still grateful for what you have and don't need to fight someone for an item.

Or.....you could skip the crowd all together!

Many stores have started their deals a week in advance, some even a month. Go before Black Friday to get savings on items you want but would not want to wait hours in line for. Another option offered is that many stores have their deals online now. This is great for those of you who are bout the savings but not bout the line. If the store you were planning on going to is offering online sales, why not shop from the comfort and safety of your home?

Don't let Black Friday consume you, I hope these tips helped you out!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
