Blackberry Whiskey pie recipe:
This pie is very simple to make and taste great. It has a slight kick to it that gives it that special flavor. You don’t necessarily have to use blackberries, you can substitute it for almost any other fruit. I simply prefer blackberries.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups of blackberries (To save money, you. Can buy one package of blackberries and get a can of raspberry pie filling)
- ¾ cup of sugar
- ¼ cup of cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons of bourbon whiskey
Instructions:
Mix together the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, salt and whiskey in a large bowl.
Then ass the fruit and gently mix it all together.
Let it all sit for about 20 minutes so the juices can absorb everything.
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
Spoon the filling into the crust (I got the crust at Wegmans) and place in oven for 30-50 minutes.
Let it sit for 20 minutes to cool. Best served 20 minutes after baking.
Enjoy!
