The "Black Lives Matter" movement has expanded more than ever in spite of recent events like Philando Castile and Alton Sterling. Many people have supported the movement — whether black or not — but countless others have also rebelled against the movement. Those who aren't directly affected by the causes of Black Lives Matter are reluctant to support the movement, and in exchange have started an "All Lives Matter" movement to counteract the ongoing African American movement.
The deal is this — yes, all lives do matter, but not all lives are continuously targeted by law forces and the workforce for their skin color. It's clear the #AllLivesMatter movement is led by jealousy because the black population is finally getting the support and media coverage it needs to step closer to change. In fact, the "All Lives Matter" supporters are primarily white people who do not realize their superiority in the economy and in the world.
Many people are taking the Black Lives Matter movement in the wrong sense. Supporting Black Lives Matter does not automatically make someone anti-white or even anti-cop. It's solely showing solidarity with the black population. The supporters for Black Lives Matter are people who aren't afraid to acknowledge the mistreatment that the black community encounters. There have been several instances where it has been proved that black people are handled more violently than white people, no matter the crime.
It is important to understand that the BLM group is not a hate group, it is solely a group of people who aim to see a change in the world and who grieve with the African American society. Those a part of the movement only want to help make the world a better place- it is in no way violent or calling for violence on government officials or white people. The goal at the end of the day is one thing; peace.
What's been happening around the world is unacceptable and therefore a stand was necessary, now that it's been taken many people are frightened and feel threatened that a community has united and came together to start a change. But, this movement alone can't and won't change anything, the law has to be amended and people need to be more understanding as well as accepting if we want our country to unite in peace.
